| hi friends!
it has been a while. but i still read posts, every single day..though there are few :). because there are few, i decided to update and make mine one of the ones that you get every single day!
i hope everyone is doing well... my life is blessed, that is for sure. i try to remind myself that my purpose here on earth is sure, to be blessed, but even more to bless my Lord. here, at school, things have changed in some ways, but other things have stayed completely the same. i am on the rowing team. my main job right now is the coxswain, which is the person at the front of the boat that steers and helps the team out. that is an adventure at six a.m. every single day. yes..i would rather be sleeping..why i am doing this..i have no idea...but what an amazing way to start the day! i am gonna take my camera out there one of these days once i get it fixed...its an unbelievable sight- being on the (most of the time) GORGEOUS water and watching the sun rise over the horizon. each morning, God sends me little love messages through that sunrise i see, and it makes me very happy. i try to indulge in it, even when the girls that i am steering for are grunting and sighing at the frustrations of the sport. as i'm coxing them, i am hoping that my joyfulness will lighten up the tension.
lately, i have been reminded of an incredible relationship i have in my life, that i was so fortunate to start at such an early age. that relationship is the one i have with my Jesus- my God. Being away from home has brought me to a point where I realize He is there and I can feel Him at every single moment of the day, if i choose to. I have really just been reading more and reflecting more on having an authentic relationship with Jesus. On living that, and being grounded in that. Being at the place that I am, alot of the world lives at the surface, when there is SO much depth. I want to show them that depth, and experience that depth even more in my life. It has been fantastically exciting and freeing :).
sooo.. i'm going to do my best to start updating more! it definitely is fun to share with ya'll what's going on, and i love reading about your adventures! so every now and then, if you get the urge to share, i would appreciate a post from you! keep it real my fun friends..and much love to you! -bec

| Pics from "The Boyfriend"...
the fabulous four :)
my little magen!
my bobby who's in Thailand who I talked to while in Thailand! The technology today amazes me.
Jesus is good and He is teaching me so many things. How could I go for so long with being at such a standstill point in my relationship with Him? I am excited for this new journey, this new chapter in my life. He is beginning to show me who I am supposed to be. Girls...read this book If anything, it makes you feel beautiful..and you should because YOU ARE! Hope everyone had/is having a fantastic spring break!! God bless!
EDIT: I have become kinda obssessed again with the Sims. It's like everything I did as a child (playing house), but now I can play it on the computer! I'm trying to limit myself to just an hour a day yes..it's that bad. |

| These are before the dance at Chelsea's house...
i pretend i'm putting it on for the pic then let one of the moms do it cause i really have never figured out how to put those things on.
i'm freezing. its like 20 degrees outside.
crossing the bridge!
ta's at chelsea's in "Big Time" Pose...yes. we are choir nerds.
cross-eyed. :)
bff.
I must say...Wintergarden was the best dance..besides freshman formal...that i have ever been to. And it was all about the people who made it fun! Yay for breaking out into the Riviera Tap...for Sean Hurt dancing ...for the crazy girls such as claire, caitlin, kayla, noel, etc...for the dramatic slow song dances...for making a train all around the room during Choo Choo Train...and for the best date EVER..Cody Davis.
Yesterday we had the fashion show and it was fun, too. There's nothing like getting your hair and makeup done all funky and getting dressed up. Also...we all got air-brushed tanned because it was free and at first I looked like another ethnicity. But then it settled down a little and we all were the same skin color. I definitely suggest that if you are ever in need of looking tan immediately...go to South Beach Tanning at 71st & Garnett and get airbrushed! It really works and doesn't turn you orange.
Look at facebook to see more pics! I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Much love.. |
